A proper installation uses 6–10 inches of 21A gravel plus a layer of 6A. This deeper base handles heavy snow, rain, and Michigan's freeze-cycle — ensuring your patio stays level and stable for years.
Very little. Sweep and rinse periodically. Every 2–3 years we recommend refreshing the polymeric sand between joints to keep weeds out and the surface locked tight.
